As for he who thinks himself without need,[1855]

[1855] i.e., without need of faith or need of Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā) . Here it is in reference to a certain influential member of the Quraysh whom the Prophet (ﷺ) had hoped to bring to Islām.

Quanto ao que prescinde de ajuda,[1]

（導きなしでも）十分だとする者[1]はといえば、

[1]　これは善への意欲がないため、質問も教示も請うこともないようなもののこと（アッ＝サアディー９1０頁参照）。

جو بے پرواہی کرتا ہے.[1]

[1] ایمان سے اور اس علم سے جو تیرے پاس اللہ کی طرف سے آیا ہے۔ یا دوسرا ترجمہ ہے جو صاحب ثروت وغنا ہے۔

Adapun orang yang merasa dirinya serba cukup (pembesar-pembesar Quraisy),

Kendini muhtaç hissetmeyene gelince;

Quant à celui qui croit pouvoir se passer de la vérité,

5. En cambio, [al soberbio] que se cree autosuficiente por su riqueza

اما آن کس که [از ایمان] بی‌نیازی می‌ورزد

Was nun jemanden angeht, der sich für unbedürftig hält,

至于自满者，
